“To overcome the limitations of the no-sinker rig, we redesigned it from the ground up!”

The no-sinker rig is something almost every bass angler comes to rely on at some point. It produces a high number of bites, has a wide range of applications, and that is why so many brands develop dedicated baits specifically for it.

We already had a no-sinker-specific product called “STAY,” but we began asking ourselves: Could we take it even further?

We started sketching in 2023. At first, we considered whether the bait could stand upright on the bottom. Later, we even imagined a structure that would allow its length to be adjusted like a lipstick tube.

After countless prototypes and failures, the current design was finally born.

Distance was the key.

One of the most important factors in a no-sinker rig is casting distance.

To improve casting stability and distance, we shifted the center of gravity toward one side. At the end of the bait, we created an insertion point for a nail sinker, but instead of hiding it internally, we designed it so that it is exposed externally.

We also made the area used for rigging the hook thinner, allowing the exposed hook to better transmit the characteristics and changes of the bottom while bottom dragging.

Field testing confirmed that this feature worked exactly as intended.

Solving line twist

Another long-standing problem with heavy no-sinker rigs is line coiling/twisting.

We couldn’t eliminate line coiling completely, but the symmetrical three-fin resistance-plate design proved more effective than expected and significantly reduced line coiling.

We also incorporated details such as a hook keeper, with durability and ease of use in mind.

Two years of development

This design was completed after two years of repeated sketching, 3D modeling, mold making, testing, feedback, and revisions.

From certain angles, it may look unusual, and some people may either love it or hate it.

But if a bass bites this lure and the angler can enjoy that moment, then it would be hard to make it any more perfect.
