What started as a blog, and now transformed into a podcast (Smallie Talk), Quest for 23, is a movement that has resonated throughout the smallmouth community. For a few select fisherman, this quest has been conquered (pics or it didn't happen). For most smallmouth fisherman though, a 23-inch river smallmouth is something they dream might be possible every time they slide into a fog covered flow.  We don't measure our fish by weight here, it’s all about the length. Any smallie can get super fat, but it takes over a decade of perfect conditions to get a smallmouth to 23 inches. Whether it’s in the Northwoods of Minnesota or the fabled streams of East TN, we know this class of smallmouth is a true fish of a lifetime.
